Ascension Wine Estate Function Centre & Winery

In the up-and-coming wine region of the Matakana Valley, Ascension Wine Estate produces complex and interesting bottles of fine wines.

At Ascension Wine Estate, fifth-generation winemakers use both traditional and unusual varietals to create the unique bottles that are characteristic of this winery.

As a small-batch wine-maker, Ascension products are only available in select wine stores and restaurants.  Of course, bottles can also be purchased after a tasting at the cellar door!

Wine tastings and tours at Ascension are a fun experience, with three options to choose from.  First, the Standard Tasting & Tour gives guests a 45-minute tour and tasting, letting you into the winery itself.

The Premium Tasting & Tour includes a walk through the vineyard (weather permitting), followed by a look at the winery and a tasting of six premium wines.  The Super-Premium Experience includes an up-close look at the winemaking equipment and a chance to sample wine straight from the barrel.

Functions:

With the rustic cellar door and function cente, Ascension offers the perfect location for wine tasting and tours, functions and handcrafted boutique wines.  The venue hosts concerts,  weddings and stylish corporate events in the Belfry, the fully self-contained function center, as well many locations stretched over the estate.
